How To Use

Pre-treatment

All surfaces must be clean, free from dust, grease and other contamination.
Wet all surfaces to give a good key

Application

1. Use straight from the cartridge
2. If required soften with a small amount of water 
3. Work the fire cement well into the joints
4. After applying, gradually increase heat over a 4 hour period.
5. Make good any cracks that may form with fresh cement to form a smoke tight seal.

Limitations

• Not suitable as a gas sealant
• Always moisten surfaces prior to applying
• Always apply heat gradually
• Black Everbuild KOS Fire Cement will turn buff/grey above ~650°C
• Not suitable for use where the product will be exposed to water/rain

Everbuild KOS Fire Cement is a ready mixed blend of thermosetting resins and temperature resistant inorganic fillers that cures when exposed to heat to give a seal that is resistant to temperatures up to 1250°C. Suitable for fixing/repairing fire backings etc.
